LOTS of variables here. Mostly HIGHWAY miles is better for oil. WHICH oil are you using. SYNTHETIC OIL can lkast as ong as WO YEARS> AMSOIL is good for 25,000 miles. SYNTHETIC oils are SUPERIOR in every way and will NOT break down, or turn into WAX, TAR or SLUDGE. <<>> to READ your oil. REmove the OIL FILL CAP and search for sins of TARS or WAX deposits. Use ONLY oil with your car SPEC NUMBERS: they are DIFFERENT from viscosity ratings TOTALLY. Speakingof TOTAL get a motor flush done usung AMSOIL POWER FOAM. Cas with CLEAN throttle bodies and idle air control valves and PCV valves will keep oil CLEANER LONGEST. VALVOLINE is STILL refined from WAX REDUCTION and truns BACK into the tar from whcih it came. SHORT drives are HARDER on oil shear points. AUDI for example reqruies ONLY 502/505 rated oil. ALWAYS MATCH SPEC NUMBERS first. 80% of oil out there is NOT worth using at ALL. DEXOS or better oil in GM engines. But TOTAL has formula for EVERY car made from ANYWHERE around the world.
